FOREWORD


For an architect competitions are an excellent and creative way to challenge oneself in discovering and applying new ideas and visions to projects.

David Huntly-Grant is a registered architect from Great Britain and has exhibited at the Royal Academy, London and the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh. He has received a number of successive awards from various competitions such as 'The Most Beautiful House in the World competition', Reggio Emilia, Italy, (La Casa piú bella del Mondo), (prize winner out of 990 entries), the Perth Arts Centre as part of the winning team at BDP, Scotland, Highly Commended award for 'Imagine Bath' competition, Great Britain, an Honourable Mention for the 'House in the Forest' competition and the Certificate of Achievement for the 'Tiny House' competition.

This website is an introduction to a whole series of competition entries which David has submitted over the last few years. Readers are encouraged to explore his designs and his illustrations, his assembly processes and the technical aspects of architecture, while those who love the beauty of design presentations will delight in the exciting graphic drawings.
